Sycamore Youth at MBC is designed to inspire, connect, and support young people in their faith journey. Our youth meet every Friday during school term, engage with fun activities, meaningful discussions, and opportunities to build lasting friendships. Midweek Growth Groups provide a welcoming environment to deepen your faith, build community, and engage with scripture in practical ways. These small groups meet weekly to reflect on the things we learnt from the sermon on Sunday and throughout the week. Through discussions, prayers, and friendships building we seek to deepen our relationship with Jesus and with one another.

Playtime

MBC Playtime runs every Wednesday 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM providing a safe and welcoming environment for young children to meet with other children, to learn and to play. Designed for kids aged 0-5, our program offers engaging activities, interactive Bible stories, and opportunities for friendship and spiritual development. Parents can enjoy a time of fellowship while their children explore God’s love through play and learning.

English For Living

English For Living

EFL runs every Monday 10:00 AM during school terms at MBC. It’s designed to help our non-native English-speaking neighbours build confidence in communicating in English and everyday life in Australia. EFL is a friendly and supportive community where we share language skills and the good news of Jesus with our neighbours. Whether you’re an absolute beginner or simply want to refine your conversation skills, everyone is welcome!

MBC International Students Outreach

MBC International Student Outreach (MISO) organises events to welcome and connect with international students. We run day trips at the start of each semester to welcome newly arrived students, and occasionally host indoor events such as board game sessions, craft workshops, book clubs, and Bible discussion groups. MISO is a safe and culturally sensitive space where international students can explore friendship and faith.

MBC meets on the campus of Morling College, located at the end of Saunders Close, Macquarie Park. During site development, alternate parking is available at Baptist Care, accessed off Balaclava Rd, where you can walk through to the church site from the rear.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We welcome anyone who wants to learn more about Jesus or is looking for a Christian community to belong to. If you are new, you are very welcome to join us for our Sunday services at 9:30am and 5:30pm. You may also find it helpful to join some of our community programs that run during the school terms.

  • Our AM Service starts at 9:30am and our PM Service starts at 5:30pm every Sunday. Please allow time for parking and for walking from the carpark or public transport. We encourage you to arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in, and to stick around afterwards to get to know people at church—over morning tea after the AM Service or dinner after the PM Service.

  • Church at MBC is relaxed, welcoming, and centred on Jesus. Each service includes music, prayer, Bible readings, sharing of church news and a practical sermon that helps us understand God’s word for everyday life.

    You’ll see people of different ages and cultures worshipping together. Some like to chat before the service, others prefer to settle quietly—both are completely okay.

    After the service, we enjoy time together over morning tea (AM) or dinner (PM). You’re welcome to stay, ask questions, or simply observe at your own pace.

  • There’s no dress code at MBC. So just come as you are. Most people dress casually and comfortably. Whether you’re in jeans, a dress, or work clothes, you’ll fit right in.

  • You are very welcome at MBC. We love having people from all backgrounds, cultures, and stages of faith journeying with us. You don’t need to be a Christian or have any church experience to attend—just come as you are.

    There’s no pressure to participate in anything you’re not comfortable with. You’re free to listen, observe, ask questions, or explore faith at your own pace. Many people in our community started out exactly the same way.

    Whether you’re curious, seeking, or simply visiting, we’re glad you’re here and hope you feel at home among us.
