CONNECT GROUPS | by phone | or online — Macquarie Baptist Church ( MBC )

MBC Connect Groups are a new way of gathering. It’s about committing to catch up online or by phone sharing Christian care and supportive friendship, especially as we move through this period of social isolation and lack of organised church gathering.

Keeping it small. Each group is just 3 to 5 people, usually the same gender, and committing to connect with each other at a set time each week, either through a conference call over the phone, or through a video conferencing.

Keeping it short. It’s an opportunity to check in with each other to support and encourage each other, while keeping the time commitment affordable and sustainable for everyone. Of course, individual groups are welcome to arrange longer meetings and deeper discussions if they wish.

It’s for all of us. We’d like the whole MBC church community to get involved, and join in the effort of sticking together and being there for each other through this challenging period of social distancing due to the virus alert.
